Alpine Home Watch is a proud Accredited Member of the National Home Watch Association. Here are some frequently asked questions from their FAQ page:
Why do I need a Home Watch Service?
So many things can happen to your home in your absence: vandalism, burglary, frozen pipes, sewer or septic backups, water leaks, electrical problems, rodent infestation, insects problems, mold and mildew… just to name a few.
What is the difference between Alpine Home Watch and a Property Management Company?
Alpine Home Watch is not in the rental business. We do offer a full range of rental support for clients of our Customized Home Inspection service.
How do I get started?
We can answer questions over the phone. But we will need to see the home and together we can develop a plan that is just right for you.
Why should I entrust my home to you?
Alpine Home Watch is locally licensed, has general liability insurance and is bonded. We are accountable to you through the latest GPS technology.
Who will be in my home?
All of our home checkers undergo a rigorous background check (including criminal, credit and drug testing). We have an extensive in-home training program, which includes field instruction.
How often will Alpine Home Watch service my home?
That depends on the plan you choose. For the safety and security of your home, we highly recommend at least one visit per week, but we do offer visits bi-monthly and monthly.
What are your rates?
Home assessments are customized. Prices will vary depending on the size and location of the home and your specific needs and wants. Alpine Home Watch offers hourly rates for the rental assistance, concierge and maintenance services.
What if I have a situation at my home?
You will be notified immediately. If the situation is an emergency, it will be handled in the fastest, safest, and most cost-effective way. In a non-emergency situation, you will be contacted to discuss and implement a course of action.
Is Alpine Home Watch a security service?
No. But having a visible presence in your empty home may act as a crime deterrent. You do have the option of using Alpine Home Watch for your local police and home security contact.
What other services does Alpine Home Watch offer?
Customized Home Inspections clients can receive other services: Rental Assistance, Sales Assistance, Property Maintenance, and Concierge Services. If we don’t list it, we can certainly arrange for any service that you might need.
How does Alpine Home Watch qualify to become a member of the National Home Watch Association (NHWA)?
NHWA members are carefully screened. Insurance, bonding and licenses have been verified. Members have agreed to abide by the code of ethics, set standards and mission statement of NHWA.
Why is NHWA important to the Home Watch Industry?
New home watch services open each month and there are no set rules or standards required to operate a home watch business. Many companies have little or no insurance or bonding, are unlicensed and don’t perform background checks on employees. NHWA’s entire membership has been vetted, so you can be confident with your choice.
